We are an uncloistered religious congregation of women, walking in the Ignatian path of our foundress, Venerable Anne de Xainctonge, rooted deeply in the Mthatha Diocese. The Sisters of Saint Ursula of the Blessed Virgin Mary are dedicated to manifesting the loving presence of Christ in our daily lives. Since arriving in the Diocese of Mthatha, our congregation has sought to uplift the rural and urban communities of the Transkei region. Inspired by the vision of our spiritual ancestors and our patroness St. Angela Merici, we seek to discover where the greatest local needs reside, focusing strongly on helping young girls, empowering women, and addressing the cycles of educational and spiritual deprivation.
